Iñigo Quintero Launches His Emotionally Expressive EP ‘Es Solo Música’

“No wonder Iñigo Quintero just keeps rising and rising. ‘Es Solo Música’ establishes captivating atmospheres that summon all kinds of emotion.”

On the 30th of April, TikTok viral sensation and Spanish pop artist Iñigo Quintero debuted his brand new EP ‘Es Solo Música’ (‘It’s Simply Music’) at Colours Hoxton, London. With songs full of sentiment, Quintero grabs and maintains our attention on his latest release.

‘Desconocido’ presents a swift intro, then opening with intriguing questions ‘De que vale tu mirada si no soy testigo?’ translating to ‘What’s your gaze worth if I’m not a witness?’. There’s a versatility in terms of pace, and great control over the vocals to synchronise with this. A vibrant shift occurs instrumentally before reverting back to the more serene instrumental dominating the verses. Before the last chorus the vocals fleetingly take the spotlight, elevating the last moments of the melody.

Beautifully melancholic piano sequences introduce us to ‘Nada Cambria’. Vocals suit the mood once again, perpetuating this idea of versatility. Piano instrumental breaks become a pivotal detail of the song, aiding the anticipation. Smooth harmonies uplift the song into a heavenly atmosphere. Quintero showcases his range, and each aspect of this range parades passion. ‘Si No Estás’ presents a continuation of piano notes, but is more upbeat as opposed to the melancholic nature of ‘Nada Cambria’. There’s a mellow but relatively high-spirited pop feel, where commerciality is evident. The instrumental is emboldened in all the right places to enhance the flow of the melody.

Iñigo Quintero said of his release: “Es Solo Música” is like a sanctuary, or a space where I can both lose and find myself, and I want it to offer, my listeners and fans, a unique opportunity to get to know me authentically. My ultimate goal for this EP and the music is that it becomes a universal language that facilitates an intimate connection between me and the world, and reveals my purest and most honest essence in its creation.”

Opening strong with a gorgeously minimalist piano instrumental, ‘El Equilibrio’ shines light on the delicacy of the vocals. However, the song really picks up after the instrumental shift – the vocals, production and melody all hitting their peak. And last to take centre stage is ‘Lo Que Queda de Mí’ in which true earnestness can be felt from the lyrics and the way they are sung. All the elements of the instrumental intertwine with one another so angelically yet substantially, and we can tell that Quintero has done a brilliant job in getting his listeners to know him authentically.
