Diskrypt Mixes Heartfelt Emotions With Outstanding Production On Single ‘In My Eyes’

“Diskrypt pushes the boundaries of electronica with ‘In My Eyes’, blending his mesmerising sound with lyrics that take us on a heartfelt journey.”

Seattle’s electronic artist Diskrypt teamed up with musician vict molina to release ‘In My Eyes’ this month. The song is an insight into the magic of finding love in unexpected places, and in this melody the setting is a party.

‘In My Eyes’ begins with a wave of unique electronic sounds, inspiring a sense of excitement and curiosity for the listener. It’s not long before the eloquent, compelling vocals introduce themselves, and they seem to be fully immersed in this melody shaped by authentic production.

The soundscape formed by the instrumental, melodic and vocal elements of ‘In My Eyes’ is truly artistic. Diskrypt has this ability to stir a tension that absorbs us into the melody itself. This tension is brought to an end temporarily by the lyric there’s no time for you and I sang ever so powerfully and emotively, and instead this beautifully chaotic instrumental unleashes. There’s bustling production taking place here, yet the execution is smooth. It can be best described by the Spotify visual for the song, which is colourful and transformative.

“To be honest I had been listening to the “Palaces” album by Flume (who is one of my biggest inspirations) alongside the “Virtual Self” EP by Porter Robinson and I wanted to find a way to blend the two styles together in both auditory and visual representations. For me the only option for vocals on this song would be Vict as she is one of my best friends I met through the internet and so to keep to the trapped in the internet aesthetic we worked on it all online in a single session about two years ago,” said Diskrypt on his new single.

Entrancing vocals return and so does the adventurous electronica. The chorus enthrals us once again and it becomes evident just how catchy the tune is. There’s something so addictive about the anticipation built through the fuse of instrumental bliss and vocal power, and there’s something so distinct about the harmony of the creative sounds that follow. An instrumental sequence just as unique as that of the intro leads us out, presenting the impressive production skills of Diskrypt one last time.
