‘Brave New World’ opens with a mystical, unusual intro which had me hooked. And as it turns out, this instrumental sequence turns out to be the hook. The vocals then strut in, owning the atmosphere with their emotionally deep inflections.
Together the instrumental aspect and the vocal tones work together to build a kind of anticipation that ignites a spark in the atmosphere. And it gets more and more brilliantly intense, concurring with the line ‘The future is mine’ in which we accept axiomatically.
Transpiring into a synth-pop haven, all emotion has been embellished into sole instrumental until the vocals enter once again, showcasing an inspiringly higher vocal range. They then switch up a little in the next verse, revealing versatility, well and truly syncing with the melody.
Looking back after listening, it’s evident that the technique here is untouchable. Vocally PILOTE practically embodies the melody, soaking up every satisfying instrumental sound with ease and artistry. The song may journey through multiple ambiences, but ultimately there is always this elaborate and luminous nature to it.
